News: Harvest of Oysters from Oyster Bay NY on Long Island’s North shore have been suspended due to illness caused by the natural bacteria vibrio parahaemolyticus. The out break is limited to Oyster Bay and according to NYDEC further testing will follow until the waters are clear of the naturally occurring bacteria that fares up every 10 years or so.
